- Lid is constructed of 14 gauge cold rolled steel, with a 14 gauge cold rolled steel inner stiffener
- Welds are full arc welds, no spot welds
- Lid is attached to the hull of the box with two 4 inch stainless steel butt hinges
- Hinges are welded to the box and lid
- Full length small parts storage in the front of the box
- Full size stainless steel paddle latch is recessed into the hull of the box
- Two spring type lid props assist in the opening and closing of the lid
- Ribbed d-bulb seal is installed in the lid to seal against the flange around the box opening
