Return Policy
Return Policy
At RV & Auto Parts, we want our return requirements to be clear before you place an order. This policy explains return eligibility, return shipping, restocking fees, freight damage, warranty procedures, and how to submit a return request.
Please review this policy before installing, programming, assembling, modifying, or using a product. Contact our customer support team if you need help determining whether an item is eligible for return.
30-Day Return Window
Eligible products may be returned within 30 days from the date of delivery. The return request must be submitted within this period and approved before the product is shipped back.
Before Starting a Return
Please complete the following steps before requesting a return:
- Keep the original manufacturer packaging, manuals, hardware, tags, and accessories.
- Do not install, program, assemble, modify, or use the product.
- Confirm the manufacturer part number, dimensions, voltage, connectors, and application.
- Take clear photographs of the product, packaging, shipping label, and any reported damage.
- Submit a return request and wait for written return authorization and shipping instructions.
Return Eligibility
Unless RV & Auto Parts shipped the wrong product or the product arrived damaged, an eligible return must be:
- New, unused, uninstalled, unprogrammed, and unaltered;
- In the same condition in which it was received;
- In the original manufacturer packaging;
- Complete with all manuals, hardware, tags, accessories, promotional products, and included parts; and
- Clean, undamaged, and in resalable condition.
Installation, attempted installation, programming, assembly, modification, use, or damage after delivery may make a product ineligible for return.
A return authorization permits the product to be sent to the designated return location for inspection. It does not guarantee that a refund will be approved.
How to Start a Return
Use the Start a Return button above or email contact@rvautoparts.com.
Please provide:
- Your order number;
- The product and quantity being returned;
- The reason for the return;
- The manufacturer part number or SKU; and
- Clear photographs when applicable.
Do not use the address shown on the website, invoice, or original package unless your written return instructions specifically direct you there.
Damaged, Incorrect, Missing, or Short-Shipped Products
Inspect your order immediately after delivery. Shipping damage, an incorrect product, missing components, or a quantity shortage must be reported within 3 business days after delivery.
We may require photographs of:
- The product and everything received;
- The manufacturer label, part number, and SKU;
- The shipping label;
- The exterior and interior packaging; and
- Any damage to the packaging or product.
Keep the product and all packaging while the claim is reviewed. Do not install, use, modify, discard, or return the product unless we provide written instructions.
Installing or using a visibly damaged or incorrect product after discovering the issue may affect the available remedy, except where prohibited by law.
Freight Deliveries
Freight shipments must be inspected before the delivery receipt is signed whenever possible.
- Inspect the carton, pallet, wrapping, and product for visible damage.
- Note all visible damage or shortages on the carrier's delivery receipt.
- Take photographs before the shipment is unpacked or moved.
- Keep all packaging, pallets, straps, and freight documents.
- Report visible or concealed damage to RV & Auto Parts within 3 business days.
Signing a freight delivery receipt without noting visible damage may limit the remedies available through the freight carrier.
Do not refuse a freight shipment unless RV & Auto Parts or the carrier instructs you to do so. Unauthorized refusal may result in return freight, storage, redelivery, handling, or supplier charges.
Defective Products and Manufacturer Warranties
A product believed to be defective may require troubleshooting, testing, diagnostic documentation, photographs, serial numbers, installation information, or review by the manufacturer.
Many defective-product claims are handled under the manufacturer's warranty rather than as a standard return. Manufacturer warranty procedures, inspection requirements, repair options, or replacement procedures may apply.
Contact us with your order number and product information before removing, replacing, returning, or discarding a product believed to be defective.
Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for return shipping when the product:
- Was ordered incorrectly;
- Does not fit the intended application;
- Is no longer needed;
- Was ordered more than once; or
- Is being returned for another customer-requested reason.
Use a trackable and adequately insured shipping service. RV & Auto Parts is not responsible for customer returns that are lost, damaged in transit, or delivered to an unauthorized address.
If we provide a return label for convenience, the label cost may be deducted from the refund unless we verify that the return resulted from an RV & Auto Parts shipping error or covered shipping damage.
Original Shipping Charges
Original shipping and handling charges are nonrefundable except when required by law or when we verify that the return resulted from our error or covered shipping damage.
If an order received free or discounted outbound shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost may be deducted from the refund for a customer-requested return where permitted by law.
Electronic and Electrical Products
Electronic and electrical products are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
Electrical products may be damaged by incorrect voltage, improper installation, incompatible components, programming, testing procedures, or electrical conditions that cannot be verified after delivery.
This category includes, without limitation:
- Computers, electronic control units, modules, circuit boards, and controllers;
- Sensors, switches, relays, solenoids, regulators, and electronic actuators;
- Ignition and fuel-injection electronics;
- Wiring, harnesses, connectors, converters, inverters, chargers, and power-management products;
- Displays, monitors, cameras, radios, speakers, navigation, and audio/video products; and
- Other products containing electronic circuitry or sensitive electrical components.
Verify the manufacturer part number, voltage, connectors, specifications, and vehicle or equipment compatibility before ordering.
This restriction does not apply when RV & Auto Parts verifies that it shipped the wrong product or the product arrived damaged. A product believed to be defective may be handled through the applicable manufacturer warranty. Nothing in this section limits a non-waivable right under applicable law.
Hazardous Materials
Hazardous materials are final sale and cannot be returned. This applies even when a product is unopened because return transportation and warehouse acceptance may be prohibited or restricted.
Hazardous materials may include:
- Flammable or combustible products;
- Chemicals, oils, lubricants, additives, and other fluids;
- Sealants, adhesives, paint, and coatings;
- Aerosols, pressurized containers, and gases;
- Batteries; and
- Products classified or restricted as hazardous by a manufacturer, carrier, or government authority.
This restriction does not apply when RV & Auto Parts verifies that it shipped the wrong product or the product arrived damaged. Nothing in this section limits a non-waivable right under applicable law.
Other Non-Returnable Products
- Used, installed, programmed, assembled, modified, altered, or customer-damaged products;
- Special-order, custom, personalized, made-to-order, cut-to-length, or manufacturer-restricted products;
- Products marked “Final Sale” or “Non-Returnable”;
- Clearance products expressly marked final sale;
- Opened fluids, filters, maintenance products, chemicals, or consumable products;
- Opened personal-care, sanitary, wearable-safety, or hygiene-sensitive products;
- Gift cards, downloaded products, and activated licenses or subscriptions;
- Products missing serial numbers, manufacturer labels, packaging, parts, or accessories; and
- Products that can no longer be resold as new.
Incorrect Fitment and Ordering Errors
Customers are responsible for verifying manufacturer part numbers, dimensions, specifications, voltage, connectors, vehicle information, and application requirements before ordering.
A product is not defective solely because it was ordered for an incompatible application. If the product is otherwise eligible for return, incorrect-fitment and customer-ordering returns remain subject to return shipping, outbound shipping deductions, inspection, and applicable restocking fees.
Restocking Fees
Approved customer-requested returns may be subject to the following restocking fees:
- 10% for an unopened, unused, complete, and resalable product;
- 15% for an opened or handled product that we approve and determine can still be sold as new; and
- Up to 20% for an approved oversized, bulky, freight, special-handling, or supplier-assessed return.
A product that is used, installed, incomplete, damaged, or not resalable as new may receive a reduced refund or no refund where permitted by law.
Restocking fees do not apply when we verify that we shipped the wrong product or the product arrived damaged.
Unauthorized, Refused, and Misdirected Returns
Do not refuse delivery or return a product without written instructions.
Refused, unclaimed, unauthorized, late, or misdirected returns may be refused, returned to the sender, or assessed actual outbound shipping, return shipping, redelivery, storage, handling, and supplier charges where permitted by law.
Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges. To obtain a different product, request a return for the eligible original product and place a separate order.
Competitor, Reseller, and Commercial Orders
We may request additional documentation and may limit or deny returns from competitors, resellers, exporters, or commercial purchasers when permitted by law.
This may include purchases involving unusual quantities, suspected marketplace activity, product diversion, or attempted misuse of the return process.
Refunds
All returns are inspected. Refund eligibility, deductions, payment methods, and processing times are governed by our Refund Policy.
No refund is issued until the authorized return reaches the correct return location and is inspected.
Policy Terms
This Return Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service and should be read with our Shipping Policy.
The policy in effect when an order was submitted will generally apply. Changes will not be applied retroactively where prohibited by law.
