For optimal performance, it is recommended to upgrade the rear pads if you opt for upgraded pads in the front. The Thermic Black coating is designed to be left intact during installation and will naturally wear away in the pad-swept area within the first 10 to 20 stops. Please do not use brake cleaner or any other methods to remove this coating, as this will void the warranty.
